Objectives
The objective of the module is to explain the significance of internationalcooperation in disaster management. The module outlines six reasons why collaboration on an international scale is important:
1. Shared Risks and Vulnerabilities (The transboundary nature of disasters)
2. Resource mobilization
3. Knowledge Sharing and Capacity Building
4. Early Warning Systems
5. Climate Change Adaptation
6. Humanitarian Assistance and Response
The module also explains the benefits of international cooperation, such as providing a common platform and language, and enabling monitoring progress and accountability.
