  • In this lecture we will be having a broad discussion about Human Language. We will be looking at how language emerged, what its emergence meant to humanity, and what makes it special. We will also be discussing the way in which language constitutes human identity. 

    The Evolution of Language

    • The objectives of this introductory lecture are to:

      1. Understand the emergence and evolution of human language:.

      2. Analyze the unique features of human language.

      3. Evaluate the relationship between language and identity.

      4. Explore the functions of language in social and cultural contexts.

      5. Understand language as a tool for cultural transmission and social cohesion .
