    • Objectives

    • The objective of this lecture is to 

      1. Understand the challenges and social stigma faced by transgender individuals in India, as outlined in the Kerala Transgender Policy.  

      2. Analyze the Supreme Court's NALSA judgment and its implications for the legal recognition of transgender persons.  

      3. Examine the key provisions of the Kerala Transgender Policy, including strategies for achieving socio-economic inclusion and eradicating discrimination.  

      4. Explore the role of various government departments and organizations in implementing measures for the welfare and rights of transgender persons. 

      5. Reflect on the importance of fostering a just society that respects diversity, ensures equal opportunities, and upholds the dignity of transgender individuals.
